This luxurious two story 6-million-dollar residence located in Coral Gables Miami was in serious need of a floor overhaul and the owners selected Artistic Surfaces to bring their vision of beautifully polished concrete floors to life. The flooring in this Miami home presented a unique challenge due to it being changed multiple times before, going from terrazzo, marble, then granite, leaving it in terrible condition. The solution to giving these battered floors a new look was a polished overlay. Deciding to go with a polished overlay allowed us to provide a joint-less uninterrupted seamless floor. The floor was polished to a 1,500-grit finish, with gloss meter readings in the high 70’s. This perfectly polished floor turned into a luxurious mirror of everything around it. The floors give off rich reflections of exterior gardens, complementing the fully decorated residence of brightly colored rugs and furniture.
